The Port of Longview is a secure port, as regulated by the United States Coast Guard.

Upgraded Security

Since September 11th, the Port has added security fencing, video surveillance and guards to man the Port 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access to the Port is only granted to those conducting business who have a Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card. Anyone without a TWIC card must be escorted by security.

Apply for an Identification Card

TWIC is an acronym that stands for Transportation Worker Identification Credential. Each employee, vendor, longshoreman and customer requiring unescorted access to the secured areas of the Port must obtain a TWIC card from the Transportation Security Administration
