The Port of Longview is the perfect location for cargo transfers in the Pacific Northwest. Efficient marine facilities and available industrial sites make it an ideal location for new business.

Located just 66 miles from the Pacific Ocean on the deep-draft Columbia River, the Port is the first full-service operating port with major transportation connections. Barge access is available to the entire Columbia Snake/River system.

The Columbia River is an important link in world trade. It is a strategic trade corridor for the nation and the region's link to world markets. It is the second largest grain exporting river channel in the world and the point of embarkation for cargo originating from over 40 states.

The Columbia River is maintained at a depth of 40 feet by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Today, newer and larger vessels traveling the shipping channel require a deeper depth in order to fully load with cargo. In order to accommodate these larger vessels and remain competitive in world trade, Lower Columbia River ports are sponsoring the Columbia River Channel Deepening project, which will deepen the shipping channel to 43 feet.

As one of the sponsor ports the Port of Longview continues to take a leading role in supporting this critically important project together with other Lower Columbia River ports.

We don't just move cargo, we build relationships.
