PORT OF LONGVIEW COMMISSIONERS ELECT NEW OFFICERS
Longview, Washington - At their regular Commission meeting of January 17, 2006, Port of Longview Commissioners elected new officers. Serving as president is J. Walter Barham (District #3), serving as vice-president is Larry M. Larson (District #1), and serving as secretary is Daniel J. Buell (District #2). Commissioners will hold these positions for a two-year period ending in 2007.
Walter Barham is currently serving his third term as a commissioner, which expires in 2007. Larry Larson is serving his fifth term as a commissioner, which expires in 2009. Daniel Buell is serving his third term as commissioner, which expires in 2011. Port of Longview Commissioners are elected by the public for six-year terms.
The Port of Longview’s Mission is to provide for expansion and development of trade, to encourage commercial and industrial development, and to enhance waterfront recreational opportunities, all for the economic benefit of the citizens of the port district.
