Workforce
The Port of Longview relies on a productive working relationship with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local #21. With a strong track record in cargo handling and equipment operating, their experience is second to none and a great asset to our Port operations.
Port of Longview Millwrights are sourced from the ILWU Local #21 and provide onsite set-up and fabrication of custom systems and handling equipment to meet customer's needs. There is no challenge too large or small for the innovative cargo handling approach of the Port's Millwrights.
The Port also finds strength in its maintenance crew, who keeps the Port in great operating order. From plumbers and painters to electricians and welders, the Port's maintenance team keeps all facilities ready for cargo. All members of the Port's maintenance crew are hired from local trade unions.
