Berth 5 Mooring

Berth 5 Mooring

In an effort to increase safety and ship security, the Port recently completed construction of a new mooring dolphin at the downstream end of Berth 5. The dolphin is designed to hold the ship securely to the dock under extreme current and wind conditions. The previous dolphin of creosote timber was replaced with an all steel design, thus lessening environmental impacts to the river.
