Strong Relationship With Unions


The Port of Longview relies on a productive working relationship with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local Number 21. With a strong track record in cargo handling and equipment operating, the ILWU's experience is second to none and an asset to our Port operations.

Port of Longview millwrights are sourced from the ILWU Local Number 21 and provide onsite set-up and fabrication of custom systems and handling equipment to meet customers' needs. There is no challenge too large or small for the innovative cargo-handling approach of the Port's millwrights.

The Port is also proud of its maintenance crew, which keeps the Port in great operating order. From plumbers and painters to electricians and welders, the Port's maintenance crew keeps all facilities ready for cargo. Maintenance crew members are hired from local trade unions.
